This week, our DVM students took the opportunity to recognize a Purdue Veterinary Hospital resident who has made a meaningful impact on their learning experience this year. Dr. Makensie Anderson is a resident in Small Animal Surgery. Several students gave high praise to Dr. Anderson, describing her as \u201c…a wonderful teacher who is cool under pressure and very competent.\u201d They also expressed appreciation for the way she engages with them as developing clinicians. One student noted, \u201cShe is really intentional about inviting our input into cases and has helped my confidence grow a lot this year.\u201d The opportunity to learn from residents who are deeply committed to both patient care and teaching is one of the most valued aspects of the clinical training experience for our DVM students. We applaud Dr. Anderson for the thoughtful mentorship, professionalism, and support she brings to her role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
