The words, \u201cHail Purdue\u201d are more than just familiar to Boilermaker alumni and fans of all ages. They embody true Boilermaker spirit and serve as the rallying cry for Boilers across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But another phrase that comes from Purdue\u2019s famed fight song has taken on new prominence as the slogan for Purdue\u2019s new fundraising campaign. The words are contained in the first verse and precede the words, \u201cHail Purdue!\u201d As the lyrics describe \u201cWhere the Wabash spreads its valley\u2026\u201d they explain how \u201c\u2026From the skies in swelling echoes Come the cheers that tell the tale Of your vict\u2019ries and your heroes\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n And those words now are reflected in the title of the new Purdue fund-drive: \u201cVictories & Heroes: Your Campaign for Purdue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n For the College of Veterinary Medicine, the campaign puts the spotlight on opportunities to retain and recruit top faculty; support students through scholarships; expand life-changing research in the college\u2019s signature areas of scientific discovery; and enhance animal health care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our story has always been shaped by Boilermakers like you.
