Dean Willie Reed began the ceremony by honoring staff members for every five years of service to the university.\u00a0 \u201cOur College, as well as the university as a whole, benefits from the dedication, experience and expertise of these individuals,\u201d Dean Reed said.\u00a0 \u201cWe are privileged to have a number of PVM staff members celebrating important service anniversaries this year.\u201d\u00a0 The staff members honored during the reception for their service anniversaries are:<\/p>\n
10 Years of Service:<\/strong><\/p>\n Pictured with Dean Reed (left-right): Elizabeth Brooks, Pamela Kirby, and Sheila Stingle celebrated 20 year service anniversaries.<\/p><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n 15 Years of Service:<\/strong><\/p>\n 20 Years of Service:<\/strong><\/p>\n 25 Years of Service:<\/strong><\/p>\n Barbara White celebrated 40 years of service at Purdue.<\/p><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n 40 Years of Service:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThank you, again, to all of these members of our PVM family for your dedication and loyalty to our College and Purdue University,\u201d Dean Reed said. \u201cIt is truly an honor to be able to celebrate these career milestones with you.\u201d<\/p>\n Next, Dean Reed presented certificates to faculty and staff members who have completed the online Certificate Program for Diversity and Inclusion in Veterinary Medicine. \u201cDiversity and inclusion are key components of our College\u2019s values and culture, and we are proud of these individuals for their dedication in promoting a collegial work and learning environment enhanced by diversity,\u201d Dean Reed said before introducing these recipients:<\/p>\n Purdue Veterinary Medicine faculty and staff also were recognized at the ceremony for completion of the Certificate for Diversity and Inclusion in Veterinary Medicine online program.<\/p><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Dean Reed concluded the recognition ceremony by presenting Bravo Awards, which recognize substantial accomplishments by Purdue employees that extend well beyond regular work responsibilities.\u00a0 The awards can be given to acknowledge exceptional efforts in any of four categories:<\/p>\n The Bravo Award recipients received a certificate as well as a cash prize.\u00a0 The following awards were given based on nominations submitted for the second half of 2018:<\/p>\n The ceremony also recognized Bravo Award winners, which recognizes substantial accomplishments by Purdue employees.
