\u201cOur College, as well as the university as a whole, benefits from the dedication, experience and expertise of these individuals,\u201d Dean Reed said.\u00a0 \u201cWe are privileged to have a completion of the Certificate for Diversity and Inclusion in Veterinary Medicine online program.<\/p><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dean Reed concluded the recognition ceremony by presenting Bravo Awards, which recognize substantial accomplishments by Purdue employees that extend well beyond regular work responsibilities.\u00a0 The awards can be given to acknowledge exceptional efforts in any of four categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Moving the University Forward \u2014 accomplishments or contributions that transform or advance university objectives;<\/li>\n<li>Innovation and Creativity \u2014 innovative work or suggestions well beyond standard job requirements that significantly improve operational efficiencies or introduce new or improved processes;<\/li>\n<li>Operational Excellence \u2014 extraordinary effort during times of critical departmental need; and,<\/li>\n<li>Fiscal Stewardship \u2014 significant cost saving or cost avoidance realized beyond normally expected or established standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Bravo Award recipients received a certificate as well as a cash prize.\u00a0 The following awards were given based on nominations submitted for the second half of 2018:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mijana Beckett<\/strong> was recognized for Exemplary Contributions to Operational Excellence as laboratory technician in virology and molecular biology in ADDL<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sean Brant<\/strong> was recognized for Exemplary Contributions to Operational Excellence and Fiscal Stewardship as Central Supply manager in VTH<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alex Guadarrama<\/strong> was recognized for Moving the University Forward and Operational Excellence as instructional designer in PVM-IT<\/li>\n<li><strong>Samantha McFarland<\/strong> was recognized for
