The Horseman\u2019s Forum is designed to educate horse owners and equine industry professionals about current horse health issues. Topics for this year&#8217;s forum, which will be held Saturday, February 9, include Leptospirosis, wound care, cardiology, acupuncture, advanced imaging, nutrition, and lameness.\u00a0 An equine research update also will be presented.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1128\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1128\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1128 img-responsive img-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_9830_copy1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Horseman's Forum photo\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1128\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Joe Monroe of Nutrena leads a 2018 Horseman\u2019s Forum session entitled, \u201cFeeding the Metabolic Horse.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The one-day program provides attendees with knowledge and insights about horse health issues ranging from basic preventative health care and husbandry topics to state-of-the-art medical advancements, making it applicable to attendees from all educational backgrounds. This year&#8217;s schedule also includes optional demonstrations of trailer safety and acupuncture, as well as Large Animal Hospital tours in the <a href=\"https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/hospital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 2019 Horseman\u2019s Forum is generously sponsored by Nutrena and Haygain.
