{"id":31532,"date":"2025-11-14T12:06:27","date_gmt":"2025-11-14T17:06:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/?p=31532"},"modified":"2025-11-14T12:06:29","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T17:06:29","slug":"two-pvm-faculty-members-recognized-with-purdue-seed-for-success-acorn-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/two-pvm-faculty-members-recognized-with-purdue-seed-for-success-acorn-awards.php","title":{"rendered":"Two PVM Faculty Members Recognized with Purdue Seed for Success Acorn Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Purdue University has released this year\u2019s list of Purdue researchers who received the university\u2019s prestigious Seed for Success Acorn Awards, and the honorees include two Department of <a href=\"https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/bms\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Basic Medical Sciences<\/a> faculty members.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Seed for Success Acorn Awards are presented by the <a href=\"https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Office of Research<\/a> to recognize investigators for their accomplishment in obtaining external sponsored awards of $1 million or more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations are in order for Dr. Ranjie Xu, assistant professor, and Dr. Marxa Figueiredo, associate professor, both in the Basic Medical Sciences Department.&nbsp;&nbsp;Dr. Xu specializes in neuroscience, stem cell biology, and molecular biology.
