The Purdue Veterinary Medicine community is saddened to learn that Tonya R. Mull of Lafayette, Indiana, who served as a longtime Purdue Libraries staff member, including multiple years as a staff member in the Veterinary Medical Library, passed away October 18 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East. She was 59. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tonya served as a library clerk for Purdue University for a total of 25 years, beginning in the now closed Psychological Sciences Library in April 2000, before she joined the Veterinary Medical Library in Lynn Hall in 2008. She continued to work in the veterinary library until she went on disability in May of this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout her career, Tonya was valued as a colleague known for her exceptional support of library patrons, particularly through digital reference services and Ask-a-Librarian, and for the meaningful relationships she built with her student workers.\u00a0\u00a0Tonya was a member of Faith Church in Lafayette.\u00a0\u00a0Outside of work her favorite pastimes included baking and watching Hallmark movies.\u00a0A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, from 10:00\u201311:00 a.m. at Faith Church, 5526 Indiana 26, Lafayette, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Those who wish to do so may send flowers or contribute in her name to the Purdue University Veterinary Hospital<\/a> Emergency Service by\u00a0clicking here<\/a>.\u00a0To view a complete obituary,\u00a0click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Purdue Veterinary Medicine community is saddened to learn that Tonya R.
