Hartman, of Carmel, Indiana, formerly of Lafayette, who passed away at her home Saturday, September 6. She was 77.<br><br>Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Pam earned her Bachelor of Science degree in education at Ball State University in 1970. She taught for many years as an elementary school teacher and later earned a master\u2019s degree in education from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York.<br><br>After moving to Lafayette, she taught at Saint James Lutheran School before joining Purdue University and working for 20 years as a lab instructor in the College of Veterinary Medicine\u2019s Department of Comparative Pathobiology. She inspired countless students with her patience, warmth, and encouragement and was honored as a recipient of the college\u2019s Outstanding Staff Award.<br><br>A service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17 at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church, 10500 E 126th St, Fishers, Indiana, with calling one hour prior to the service.
