The event on May 20 included remarks by PVM Dean Willie Reed and Aaron Walz, senior director of Purdue IT Distributed Computing. Guests also had the opportunity to autograph and write congratulatory messages on a photo mat that was given to Nancy later as part of a framed print of the college\u2019s Continuum Sculpture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reception honored Nancy for her dedicated service to Purdue over 33 years.&nbsp; She started out as an account clerk in the History Department in 1991, and then moved on to a variety of other roles, including business manager, business analyst, and ultimately, positions in Information Technology, serving the last four years in the College of Veterinary Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_9906-copy1_Nancy_Allrich_and-Dean.jpg\" alt=\"Nancy Allrich with Aaron Walz, senior director of Purdue IT Distributed Computing, and PVM Dean Willie Reed.\" class=\"wp-image-23617\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_9906-copy1_Nancy_Allrich_and-Dean.jpg 800w, https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_9906-copy1_Nancy_Allrich_and-Dean-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_9906-copy1_Nancy_Allrich_and-Dean-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_9906-copy1_Nancy_Allrich_and-Dean-353x235.jpg 353w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Nancy Allrich with Aaron Walz, senior director of Purdue IT Distributed Computing, and PVM Dean Willie Reed.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s really been an honor working with you,\u201d Aaron said as he shared congratulatory remarks during the reception. \u201cI know I can speak for many folks in the room when I say Purdue is a far better place for having had you here, with your passion, your dedication, the way you care about the work, the way you care about the people, and everything that you\u2019ve done to make this a better place than when you found it.&nbsp; I can\u2019t thank you enough for all the work you have done.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aaron then introduced Dean Reed, who said he wanted to publicly thank Nancy for all she has done for the College of Veterinary Medicine.&nbsp; \u201cIt\u2019s been such a pleasure and delight to have Nancy in our college \u2013 the way she goes about her work every day,\u201d Dean Reed said. \u201cI always could tell how much the people who worked for her respected her for her skill set, the way she cares, her whole demeanor.&nbsp; So we are really going to miss you.
