The festive occasion November 29 in the Purdue Memorial Union North Ballroom included a special appearance by Purdue Pete.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than 270 faculty members were recognized for their years of service to Purdue at the Faculty Service Recognition Luncheon hosted by the Office of the Provost.\u00a0\u201cRecognizing our esteemed faculty members is a wonderful way to acknowledge their dedication and invaluable contributions to our academic community \u2014 for the countless lives they have touched during their time at this great institution,\u201d said Patrick Wolfe, Purdue provost and executive vice president for academic affairs and diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Faculty members were honored for achieving service anniversaries in 2023 ranging from 10 to 40 years and in one case, even 50 years at the university\u2019s West Lafayette campus. \u201cWe thank them, not just for their time, but also for their continued collaborative efforts and commitment to equipping the next generation of leaders in solving the most challenging problems of our world today, tomorrow, and in years to come,\u201d Provost Wolfe said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The honorees included the following Purdue Veterinary Medicine faculty members:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dr. Kenitra Hendrix, director of the Indiana Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory and clinical associate professor of veterinary diagnostic microbiology, Department of Comparative Pathobiology \u2013 10 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Jim Weisman, assistant dean for clinical education and clinical associate professor, Department of Veterinary Administration \u2013 15 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Amanda Farr, clinical assistant professor of equine community practice, Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences\u00a0\u2013 20 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Lynn Guptill, associate professor of small animal internal medicine, Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences; and Dr. Sulma Mohammed, professor of cancer biology, Department of Comparative Pathobiology \u2013 25 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. John Christian, associate professor of veterinary clinical pathology and director of the Purdue University Veterinary Hospital Clinical Pathology Laboratory (now retired), Department of Comparative Pathobiology; Dr. Kevin Hannon, associate professor of anatomy, Department of Basic Medical Sciences; and Dr. Harm Hogenesch, associate dean for research, Distinguished Professor of Immunopathology, Department of Comparative Pathobiology \u2013 30 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Abdelfattah Nour, professor of basic medical sciences, Department of Basic Medical Sciences; and Dr. J.
