th<\/sup> grade students have spent the week participating in a variety of hands-on learning sessions, ranging from “Welcome to the Blood Bank,” to “Fish Need Doctors Too.” The week-long Junior Boiler Vet Camp provides the participants with a better understanding of the many areas of veterinary medicine, while also teaching them about the important roles that veterinarians and veterinary nurses play in animal healthcare.<\/p>\nThe campers also explored off-campus venues, including the Fair Oaks Dairy Farm and Pig Adventure. The campers conclude the week of learning when they present their “Follow the Clues” presentations during tomorrow\u2019s (Saturday, June 16) closing ceremonies. It has been a busy and exciting week for the campers attending the 11th<\/sup> annual Junior Boiler Vet Camp! Thanks to all PVM faculty, staff, and students who have helped to make this camp such a great success.<\/p>\nAs the Junior Boiler Vet Camp draws to a close, the College of Veterinary Medicine is excited to welcome new campers for Senior Boiler Vet Camp, which starts Sunday (June 17).\u00a0 A total of 50 rising 10th<\/sup>, 11th<\/sup>, and 12th<\/sup> grade campers will spend the week learning all about the veterinary care that dogs need as they are prepared for adoption.
