Before employees clock in, they must have their temperatures taken and answer a handful of questions such as, \u201cHave you been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19?\u201d&nbsp; Additionally, every 30 minutes employees are required to wash their hands and sanitize their workstations. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All menu items are available in a grab-n-go format.&nbsp; Self-serve items like soups had to be discontinued due to health and safety requirements.&nbsp; Fresh brewed coffee remains available but now is served by the staff from behind the counter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alisha Referda, marketing manager of Aramark, said business is going quite well in spite of the continuing pandemic.&nbsp; The staff of Aramark and the caf\u00e9 are hoping for an increase in sales once things progress to the point where regulations can be safely eased.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most popular items on the menu used to be the Fiery Chicken Wrap and Grilled Three Cheese sandwiches, but recently the Philly Steak and Tasmanian sandwiches have grown in sales. Breakfast also is available anytime during the caf\u00e9\u2019s operating hours, which is a major draw for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/cafe2_sm-1024x628.jpg\" alt=\"looking into the cafe through the stairwell window\" class=\"wp-image-10226\" width=\"400\" height=\"245\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/cafe2_sm-1024x628.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/cafe2_sm-300x184.jpg 300w, https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/cafe2_sm-768x471.jpg 768w, https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/cafe2_sm-383x235.jpg 383w, https:\/\/vet.purdue.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/cafe2_sm.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><figcaption>Among the changes implemented for the Continuum Caf\u00e9 is reduced seating to ensure safe social distancing for customers.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The change in management of the caf\u00e9 resulted from a retail dining operator agreement between Purdue and Aramark that was announced in June.&nbsp; The agreement is designed to enhance dining offerings for Purdue\u2019s West Lafayette campus and community, with Aramark operating 35 dining locations on campus, including the Continuum Caf\u00e9 and 11 locations in the Purdue Memorial Union<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The location of the Continuum Caf\u00e9 is perfect for busy students and staff of the College of Veterinary Medicine who are rushing between their classes and appointments and are looking for a beverage or quick bite to eat.
