Dr. Dieterly and Dr. Lyle present at the ACVP Annual Meeting

Full Text: The lab was busy at the Annual Meeting of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in Washington, DC. Dr. Dieterly presented her research in a talk entitled “Characterization of Blood-Tumor Barrier pathology in a mouse model of brain metastases of lung cancer.” Dr. Lyle was an invited speaker in the ASCVP Laboratory Professional Session; her talk was entitled, “Perspectives on Cerebrospinal Fluid Analysis in Animal Models”

CBBBL receives funding to develop a BBB-on-a-chip

Congrats to Dr. Lyle for receiving funding from the Purdue Institute for Drug Discovery to develop a BBB-on-a-chip. Funding will support a team of dynamic scientists including Dr. Sophie Lelièvre (Professor of Cancer Pharmacology, Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine), Dr. Chris Rochet (Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, Purdue University College of Pharmacy), Dr. Gregory Knipp(Associate Professor of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy, Purdue University College of Pharmacy), Dr. Rahim Rahimi (Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Purdue University College of Engineering)

Dr. Lyle was selected as a Teaching For Tomorrow Fellow

Congrats to Dr. Lyle, who was selected as a Teaching for Tomorrow Fellow, by the Center for Instructional Excellence. The Fellowship will provide Dr. Lyle with resources and mentorship to further develop her pedagogical approach and philosophy.


Congrats to Dr. Gozde Uzunalli for winning the CTSI Post-Doctoral Challenge.

Travel Award

Dr. Gozde Uzunalli received a travel award to attend the ASIP Pathobiology Meeting in Ann Arbor, MI.

Dr. Dieterly received a Young Investigator Award at the Society of Toxicologic Pathology Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, IN.
