Veterinary Practice Management Program (VPMP)

The Veterinary Practice Management Program (VPMP) is designed for veterinarians, veterinary practice technicians, and the practice team manager with business decision-making responsibility that seeks improved profitability, a competitive advantage, and long-term success.   VPMP is an intensive, four-module, management education program offering graduate-level instruction on core management issues. The four modules include; Human Resource Management, Accounting & Financial Management, Marketing Management and Strategic Thinking.

The program supersedes the Veterinary Management Institute (VMI), which was conducted by Krannert faculty in collaboration with AAHA for more than 20 years. The new collaboration between Krannert and the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine incorporates the strenghts that were part of VMI, but targets a broader range of veterinary professionals and fosters more networking and interaction between colleagues, program faculty and alumni.
