Elanco Human Animal Bond Lecture: Human's Best Friend: The Reciprocal Relationship Between Human and Canine Health

Dr. Niwako Ogata, Dr. Elizabeth Richards

Tuesday, September 19, 2017 | 5:30 pm | Stew Eliza Fowler Hall | Special Lecture | 1 CE available

It is known that pet dogs and their owners can reciprocally impact the health of one-another. It is thought that perceptions of pet attachment are related to owner health outcomes. In addition, increased physical activity, such as dog walking, can improve the physical and mental health of both dogs and their owners. This presentation will discuss dog walking research to date including human and canine impacts.
