This site provides you with an analysis of salaries for jobs in your area of the country. Note that while there is a job category listed as "Veterinary Technician", the salaries quoted may come from data in which the contributors to data didn't differentiate between veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants. Still, the site provides information on these salaries and compares them to the cost of living in the area.
