Graduate AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology program transfers

This program is designed to enable transfer students from other AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician programs may be able to enter the Bachelor Completion program and earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Veterinary Technology from the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. Limited class size necessitates a competitive admission process.

This Bachelor Completion program builds upon college credits and the Associate Degree earned from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technician program. A total of 127.5 credit hours is required for the BS Degree including credits applied from the degree obtained at an AVMA-accredited VT program. Transfer students must complete a minimum of 32 Purdue University - West Lafayette campus credits at the 300/400 levels for graduation.

If admitted, a course-by-course evaluation of transcripts from other programs will be completed to determine transfer credit to be applied towards the degree. Purdue's Foundational Learning Outcomes-based Core Curricular requirements may extend time to graduation.

Students admitted to this curriculum will begin course work in the summer term.
