PEER TEACHING EVALUATION ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING

SVM Members of Peer Teaching Teams,

To facilitate the peer teaching evaluation process, there will be an all-school Peer Teaching Evaluation session on Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at 8:30-9:20 a.m. in 1136 for organizational meetings of peer teaching evaluation teams for the Spring semester.  Most course schedules should be completed and classroom visits can be scheduled.

Bagels, orange juice, and coffee will be provided in 1136.  I suggest that you meet your team in 1136 and get food and drink.  Teams can meet in 1136 or move to 1191, G119 or G155 for their team meetings.

The Teaching Evaluation Committee encourages all teams to meet at this time to make a plan for the semester even if every team member cannot be there.  Make sure to bring your calendar along with your teaching dates.  Further information on the Peer Teaching Evaluation process can be found at http://www.vet.purdue.edu/PeerTeachingEvaluation/.

Thank you for your participation in the peer teaching evaluation process.

Kathy Salisbury, Chair, Teaching Evaluation Committee

SUBJECT:      Tutor volunteers needed for Applications & Integrations courses

We are organizing the Applications & Integrations courses for the freshman (VM 530) and sophomore class (VM 550) for the Spring Semester.  We will need tutors (small group facilitators) for the freshman course only.  The freshman course (VM 530) meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:30 -3:20 pm.  We have divided the semester into three modules to make it easier for faculty to tutor (see sign up sheet below for dates).  Tutors may volunteer for 1, 2 or 3 modules.  You may split a module with another individual to share a tutor group if you cannot tutor the entire module.

For the sophomore course, we only need volunteers to be examiners for the final oral exams.  This is a scripted exam and you are given specific instructions on how to give the exams.

We appreciate your willingness to serve as a tutor.  Please complete the form below and return it to Larry Adams no later than Friday, December 28, 2007.  If you have any questions or need more information, please contact any of us:
