Dean Reed has asked an Ad Hoc Committee to study and present a report on the feasibility of increasing DVM enrollment.  The members of the Committee are:

Dr. Mimi Arighi (VTH) - Representing VTH and Year 4 faculty/staff

Ms. Lee Ann Happ (VAD) - Lynn Hall Building Deputy

Dr. Christine Jaeger (BMS) - Representing Year 1 faculty

Dr. Evelyn Kazacos (CPB) - Representing Year 2 faculty

Dr. Michel Levy (VCS) - Representing Year 3 faculty

Ms. Denise Ottinger (VAD) - Classroom scheduler for SVM

Dr. Kathy Salisbury (VAD/VCS) - Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs

Dr. John Van Vleet, chair (VAD) - Associate Dean for Academic Affairs

This Committee would like to get faculty input about the ramifications of such an increase.

Therefore, a Faculty Forum has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 27, 2007, from 12 noon-1:00 p.m., in Room G210.  Pizza and drinks will be served.  We would like to have as many faculty as possible attend to discuss the pros and cons of an enrollment increase.

If you are unable to attend the Forum, please provide your feedback to a member of the Committee.

Thanks,

Lee Ann

DATE CHANGE FOR THE NEXT SVM FACULTY MEETING

Due to Dean Reed being called to a mandatory meeting across campus on the afternoon of Nov. 28, we are changing the date of the next SVM Faculty Meeting.  It will now be held on Monday, December 3, from 3:30-5:00 p.m., in Room G167.  It is very important that we achieve a quorum at the faculty meeting as we have 5 faculty documents on which to act.

If you are away from campus on Dec. 3, please remember to let me know so I can subtract you from the quorum.

Thanks,

Lee Ann
