NATIONAL VETERINARY TECHNICIAN WEEK

OCTOBER 14 – 20, 2007

“Behind every great veterinarian is a great veterinary technician”

Let them know they are appreciated!

To all of the veterinary technicians in the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine who teach, mentor, and provide wonderful role models for our veterinary technician students:  thank you for your effort in challenging each student to be the best they can be.

Our students are the future of the veterinary technology profession, and their professional growth is shaped by how you guide them and how they see you interact with peers, other veterinary professionals, and the public every day.  The high caliber and quality of our graduates is a reflection of your personal dedication and professionalism.

Thank you for your role in enhancing the quality of future veterinary technicians.

                                                            Pete Bill, Director VT

PURDUE UNITED WAY

We Matter!  Did you know that one in three people in Tippecanoe County use a service of United Way?  Every cent of every dollar donated to United Way of Greater Lafayette goes directly to the 25 member agencies.

We are ending the third week of the United Way campaign.  The goal set for Veterinary Medicine is $20,374 and within the first couple of weeks we have met 55% of this goal.  CONGRATULATIONS!!!  I have received many pledge cards this past week and I’m anxious to see our progress.

Why does United Way matter to you and me?  Think of these things:

A healthier, stronger community

An improved quality of life for everyone

A vital economy

If you haven’t turned in your pledge card to your Team Leader, please unbury it on your desk and turn it in.  Perhaps you’ve misplaced it.  Well, that’s no problem; just let your Team Leader know and they can assist you.

Thank you for your participation in the 2007 Purdue United Way campaign.

Rose Marie Killian CPS

SVM United Way Sr. Chair
