INTERNATIONAL LABORATORY ANIMAL TECHNICIAN’S WEEK
January 27 – February 2 has been heralded as International Laboratory Animal Technician’s Week by the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science. This week has been set aside to recognize individuals who provide animal care for animals used in teaching, testing, and research. This year’s theme is Laboratory Animal Technicians: Heroes Behind the Science. The week will be celebrated in many ways throughout the world. Here at Purdue all animal care staff will be guests at a luncheon hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Research. Please take a few minutes this week to pass along to the SVM animal care staff your appreciation for their hard work in supporting the teaching and research efforts of the School.
