Fall Conference Line-up Maximizes CE Units

Sunrise and lunchtime lectures were added to the 2011 PVM Fall Conference line-up as a way for conference attendees to maximize their Continuing Education credits beyond that provided through the customary 8-5 conference day. A sunrise lecture was offered each morning as part of different "Tracks" to attract a wide audience.

The Wednesday lecture, sponsored by Hills, featured Dr. Bianca Zenor (PU DVM '01), Hill's Practice Development Veterinarian. She spoke on the topic, "Nutrition, The Fifth Vital Assessment." The Thursday sunrise lecture was part of the Food Animal Track. Dr. Bob Rowland, professor in the Diagnostic Medicine and Pathobiology department of Kansas State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, addressed the topic: "PRRSV Elimination."

Additional conference features included "Hot Topics in Cancer Therapy," animal behavior and anesthesia workshops, "Ask the Professor" small group sessions, and a clinical chemistry interactive lab.
