Top Quality Continuing Education and Special Events Add up to Record Year for annual PVM Fall Conference
The 2011 Purdue Veterinary Medicine Fall Conference attracted nearly 1,050 registrants on Sept. 20 to 23 to West Lafayette, Ind. That number included 365 veterinarians and 203 veterinary technicians. PVM faculty, staff and students added close to 300 to the count. Topics ranging from neurology, to cancer, wound care, equine theriogenology, clinical chemistry, anesthesia, and behavior, combined with receptions, class reunions, awards, golf, and a fund-raising auction, made for a record-breaking year. The conference featured presentations by nearly 60 speakers, of which almost 40 were Purdue Veterinary Medicine faculty & staff members. The conference line-up included 85 different CE sessions and 25 hours' worth of hands-on workshops.
